Fall Fest at Kinman Farms

Now that the calendar officially agrees with places like Starbucks and Hobby Lobby that fall as arrived, it’s time to plan a trip to a pumpkin patch! Your family may already have a favorite place you visit each year, or if you’re like me you would spend every weekend between now and Halloween checking out the best farms in Cincinnati. I love these local spots this time of year and very much appreciate the time and energy these families put into making memorable places for us to visit. Living in Northern Kentucky, there are a few farms close by that we always try to visit in the fall and one of them is Kinman Farms.

Fall Fest at Kinman Farms is a great place to make memories, find the perfect pumpkin, and even relax into the evening with your friends and family this season.

My family is actually very familiar with Kinman Farms, as we recently held our daughter’s 5th birthday party there! They did an excellent job with everything if you’re looking for a unique party or event spot, and we were thrilled to head back again to check out their annual Fall Fest.

Fall Fest at Kinman Farms runs now through October 28th, Fridays 12 pm to 10 pm, Saturdays 10 am to 10 pm, and Sundays 12 pm to 7 pm.

We visited on opening night and absolutely loved the evening atmosphere! As most farms are only open during the weekend days, we loved the chance to avoid the crowds and hang out after school for loads of fall fun.

There is so much to do during Fall Fest that your best bet is to go with the Fall Fest Adventure Ticket, which is $10/person. We took a wagon ride around the property, picked a small pumpkin, sat by the bonfire, tried out the corn maze AND the hay maze — and even more, believe it or not. The farm is set up in two sections and we started the evening in the front. After purchasing a wristband, you can visit with the farm animals, take a pony ride ($3 extra), try out the kid-sized hay maze and browse and shop in the market. You can pick up everything you need for fall, as well as fresh produce from the farm, inside this charming barn market.

Next up was a scenic wagon ride to the back section of the farm, which had a lively, fun atmosphere. A live band was playing plenty of classics, which was a great addition that all ages will enjoy. Back here, you’ll find the 5-acre corn maze, a carnival tent with face painting and games, a playground, bonfires, laser tag (extra in October), and The Great Pumpkin Express, which the little ones will love. Especially if you visit on a Friday or Saturday evening, this is an ideal spot to bring a bunch of family and friends and just hang out while the kids play and enjoy the area. Kinman’s Grill is also back here, so you can pick up snacks, s’mores kits or even an entire meal.

As you can tell from all of the activities available at Kinman Farms, you get quite the bang for your buck, and all on a beautiful family farm. This is one of our favorites places in Northern Kentucky and it’s worth a drive from anywhere in the Tristate for a day (or evening) of fall fun.
