As you walk in to Oakley Greens, you are welcomed with fresh air and a wide open space (be sure to wave hello and snap a shot with their mascot Mr. Oakley, too!). Never miss a game with the multiple big screens displaying sports, from baseball (go Reds!) to soccer to golf, and the Bengals in the fall; all surrounded by dozens of adirondack chairs, covered picnic tables and table seating. Feel free to bring your furry friend, as Oakley Greens is totally pet friendly, too!
Just beyond the enterance is a large open space for kids to run around outside, featuring TWO kids play areas with playgrounds, made by our friends at Recreations Outlet! A ship area features a small rock wall, rope climb, ship wheel, two smaller slides, and wooden building blocks (recommended for ages 4 and under). The second playset (ages 4 and up) boasts not one, not two, but FOUR slides, two slightly higher rock walls, a tire swing and a bench area for pretend play (“lemonade,” please!). Parents can watch over their kids while enjoying a fun game of corn hole!
Another main attraction: you can play mini golf ALL day (36 holes!) The cost is $25/person for adults and $15/per kid (5 and under are free until 3pm). Though keep in mind this is an elevated course, so we’d recommend it for older kids (6-7 and up). Bonus: it is a timed entry to limit guests having to wait, and you get to keep the golf balls after you’re finished!
When you have worked up an appetite, menu offerings include multiple slider and taco options we recommend the salsa flight. More options are coming soon, such as a customizable pizza! The menu also offers so many different side options and two full service bars – one inside and one out. If you need to cool down, enjoy a cool beverage or hydrate at the multiple self service water stations available. Or, if the kids need a sweet treat, be sure to try any of the eight flavors of ice cream (try the birthday cake with sprinkles).
A few more things to note:
- Everything is cashless!
- The entire golf area is on turf, and in the sun, so wear a hat or bring some sunscreen when it’s hot.
- There are stools in the bathroom for easy sink access for the little ones (a nice family-friendly touch!)
- Ask for more details about having a kids party there! Or look into renting a cabana for an adults only/parents night out.
- Another bonus for little ones: you might just get lucky and see a train passing by (the track is SO close!)
