Hocking Hills Has the World’s Largest Bounce House

About two hours east of Cincinnati and roughly the same from Dayton, the Hocking Hills region draws Ohio families for its gorges, waterfalls and state parks. The Hocking Hills Family Fun Center in Rockbridge has been adding reasons to extend the trip — and for summer 2026, the headliner is what the venue calls the world’s largest inflatable bounce house.

The bounce house runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, which makes it a natural warm-weather day trip for Southwest Ohio families willing to make the drive.

What’s There

The centerpiece is a 20,000-square-foot inflatable complex that includes the main bounce house, an obstacle course and, new for 2026, a giant water slide. The scale of it is the draw — this isn’t a party-rental bounce house set up in a parking lot. The venue also operates an 18-hole mini golf course on the same property, so families with mixed ages or mixed enthusiasm for bouncing have options.

For younger kids, a dedicated Mini Bounce Zone handles the under-40-inch crowd, stocked with character-themed inflatables including Mickey and Friends, Pokémon, Star Wars and Gabby’s Dollhouse. The zones are separated by height, not age, so the rules are based on how tall a child is rather than how old.

How the Height Rules Work

The height cutoffs matter here and are worth reading before you go:

  • Under 30 inches: Mini Bounce Zone only
  • 30 to 39 inches: Mini Bounce Zone and the main bounce house, but only with a paid adult accompanying them
  • 40 inches and taller: full access to the main bounce house, obstacle course and water slide; not permitted in the Mini Bounce Zone

The weight limit on the main bounce house is 250 pounds per the manufacturer. The Mini Bounce Zone caps at 150 pounds.

Tickets and What to Know Before You Go

A full-day pass runs $25 per person regardless of which zone. The venue requires its own brand of Slide Safe Socks to participate — they’re $3 at the door and can be washed and reused on return visits, so it’s worth holding onto them if the family plans to come back.

Every visitor, including spectators, must sign a waiver before entering the bounce area. Spectators don’t pay admission, but they do need to check in at the front desk and have a signed waiver on file. The waiver is good for the full season once signed, and the venue recommends completing it online before arrival to skip that step at the door. The waiver link is at hockinghillsfun.com.

Outside food and drinks are allowed inside the bounce zone area. Alcohol is not. Bags and strollers aren’t stored on-site, so plan to leave those in the car.

The bounce house is an outdoor operation, which means weather can interrupt things. If conditions require a shutdown, the venue holds a 30-minute pause and then re-evaluates. In the event of rain, the inflatables may be wet when they reopen — the venue is upfront that some dampness is possible and not grounds for a refund on its own.

For larger groups heading out together, the venue takes bookings for groups of 20 or more by email at [email protected]. A two-hour private pavilion rental is available for $150; call ahead to check availability.
