Get into the spirit of the season at Holiday in Lights at Sharon Woods, a great park of Hamilton County! The 2015 Lights season kicks off Friday, November 20 at 5:30pm as Santa arrives; escorted by the Sharonville Fire Department.
On Saturday, November 21, runners and walkers of all ages and abilities will enjoy thousands of holiday lights as they wind through Sharon Woods at dusk for the 7th Annual Holiday in Lights 5K. Afterwards, all participants are invited to stay for fun and food inside a heated tent. Prizes will be awarded to the top five men and top five women finishers as well as those dressed in the best holiday costumes in the following categories: Best Adult Male, Best Adult Female, Best Child Male, Best Child Female and Best Group. The race has sold out at 1,800 participants, so late registration is not available.
Sharon Woods is located at 11450 Lebanon Road, Sharonville, Ohio 45241. A valid Great Parks of Hamilton County Motor Vehicle Permit ($10 annual; $3 daily) is not required to enter the park to visit Holiday in Lights. The Lights will be open nightly from Friday, November 20 through Saturday, January 2; Sunday-Thursday 6:00p.m.-9:00p.m. and Friday and Saturday 5:30p.m.- 10:00p.m.
Visitors can venture out of their cars and warm up with a cup of their favorite holiday beverage inside Santaland at Sharon Centre and enjoy entertainment and holiday shopping provided throughout the week. Also featured is a holiday train display and photos with Santa. Santaland is open November 20-November 22 and November 27-December 23.
