All aboard for holiday fun! Holiday Junction featuring the Duke Energy Holiday Trains returns to the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal from November 14, 2025, through January 5, 2026. This beloved Cincinnati tradition invites families to experience the wonder of the season through intricate model trains, dazzling lights, and festive displays that have delighted generations.
See the Iconic Duke Energy Holiday Trains
Dating back to 1946, the Duke Energy Holiday Trains have become a Cincinnati hallmark. The display features more than 300 rail cars and 50 locomotives that chug through snowy hillsides, miniature villages, and twinkling cities. Kids (and adults!) can press buttons to bring scenes to life and marvel as the trains weave through the detailed holiday landscape.



Holiday Junction: Familiar Favorites and New Delights
From the moment you step inside, Holiday Junction offers a world of holiday cheer. There’s the magical Northern Lights display, perfect for family photos, with soft green lights dancing behind snow-rimmed trees. And for those curious about the history of the Duke Energy Holiday Trains, there’s an interactive storybook showcasing photos and stories from over the decades. It’s a beautiful way to connect with Cincinnati’s holiday history.

The Holiday Scavenger Hunt is a must-do! Hidden objects are tucked away in the snowy landscape, inviting guests to search every corner of the miniature village. It’s fun for all ages and a great way to enjoy every last detail of the display.
And don’t miss Brickopolis—a sprawling, whimsical LEGO world that’s back by popular demand. Crafted from thousands of LEGO bricks, this display has it all: a bustling metropolis, seaside scenes, and, of course, little LEGO trains chugging through the city. Meet Santa Claus and More
No holiday is complete without a visit from Santa! This year, Santa will make a grand entrance by helicopter, thanks to UC Health, on Friday, November 28. You can catch him in the cozy Ruthven Gallery, where he’ll be stationed by his fireplace, ready to hear holiday wishes.
And for a little extra seasonal magic, the OMNIMAX® film Rocky Mountain Express is back, offering a journey through the Canadian Rockies on a historic steam train. It’s an incredible way to feel the wonder of the mountains and the magic of the holidays all at once.
