How to celebrate July 4 weekend in Cincinnati

July 4 is this weekend, and the celebrations will look a little different this year due to COVID-19. But that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to enjoy fireworks, parades and festivities. We’ve compiled a list of places offering some family-friendly, socially distant holiday fun.

Here’s how to celebrate July 4 weekend in Cincinnati:

Friday, July 3

Fireworks for the Family

Parking lot opens at 9 pm, fireworks star at 10 pm. Fireworks display only, no other festivities. No restrooms, building will be closed. Rain date is Saturday, July 4. Florence Government Center, 8100 Ewing Blvd., Florence, KY

Red, White & Kaboom

Fireworks start at 10 pm. Due to social gathering restrictions, there will be no food trucks or live music, and Harbin Park will be closed the entire day to both foot and vehicular traffic. The fireworks show has been redesigned to help increase the viewing area throughout Fairfield so residents can enjoy them from the comfort of home. Groups of more than 10 prohibited More info here. The Boom Fireworks

Celebrate Independence Day with a skydiving show, a flag drop, and a 30-minute patriotic fireworks show in Middletown, OH. Show starts at 9:30 pm. Berachah Church, 1900 Johns Road, Middletown, OH

Reds, White and Blue Fireworks Show

Coney Island’s FREE fireworks show starts July 3 at 10 pm. All vehicles will need a free viewing ticket to enter parking lot. Tickets on a first-come-first-serve basis. Gates will open at 8:30 pm. Get your ticket here.

Saturday, July 4

City of Hamilton Fireworks

Fireworks will be launched from Pyramid Hill and will be viewable from many locations throughout the city, including Miami University’s Hamilton Campus, Joyce Park soccer fields, Officer Bob Gentry Park, The Booker T. Washington Community Center and Kevin Lodder Park. Pyramid Hill will be closed to visitors all day. Show starts at 10 pm.

Kings Island Fireworks

This year’s July 4 show is for season passholders only. Passholders with a reservation to visit the park that day can enjoy a fireworks display at 10 pm.

Park and Watch Fireworks

The city of Loveland has canceled its parade, kid zone and concert, but they’ve partnered with Symmes Township to host fireworks shows at 10 pm at Symmes Township Park. Fireworks will be visible from many locations, as well as virtually.

Wyoming Independence Day

The parade is cancelled, but Wyoming’s annual fireworks display is on! Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks will be launched from Wyoming’s Oak Park but the park itself will be closed all day. Please note: residents are encouraged to watch from home. Public spaces where you can watch include: Village Green, North Park, Spring Valley Bank parking lot and nearby tennis courts and Wyoming High School turf field. Park opens at 9:15 pm for viewing.

Montgomery “Reverse Parade”

Parade participants will be stationed in a parade route in the parking lots of Sycamore High School on July 4 from 10 am-12 pm. Load up the family and drive through to observe the parade!

Cincinnati Pops Virtual July 4th Celebration

Hear your favorite patriotic and Americana tunes and watch John Morris Russell conduct the Cincinnati Pops at Music Hall via live streaming on July 4 from 7-8 pm.
