Get outdoors with your kids this Friday!
The Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo, presented by Great Parks of Hamilton County and Green Umbrella, is the largest free outdoor water safety and environmental education event for children in the Midwest.
For maximum Expo enjoyment, we suggest you:
Arrive Early
All scheduled activities are on a first come basis and may have limited capacity. If you would like to participate in a specific program please arrive early. Most programs will repeat during the day.
Dress Appropriately
It’s the middle of July — so it will be hot! Dress according to the weather and wear gym shoes or sneakers appropriate for a fair amount of walking and participating in exercise activities. Slather on the waterproof sunscreen, wear a hat and bring plenty of water.
Be Prepared to Get Wet!
Speaking of water, the Expo includes some activities on the water — so make sure your kids are prepared to possibly get wet! All activities on Winton Lake are on a first-come, first-served basis. Approximately 200 children can paddle in rafts every half hour.
The Expo is a unique opportunity to encourage kids’ interest in the great outdoors and recreational activities. Come out and spend the day discovering the outdoors with more than 60 exhibitors and interactive activities! For more information, head over to Green Umbrella.
