Labor Day Weekend Guide

Labor Day is the unofficially official start of Fall, and it’s going to be a spectacular holiday weekend around southwest Ohio. Pickin’ in the Park

Come out and enjoy Pickin’ in the Park, part of our FREE Summer Music Series presented by the Eichelberger Foundation! It will be a great night of progressive bluegrass music with performances by Stringus Khan and Whiskey Bent Valley Boys! Grab some food from a variety of food trucks and then dance the night away under the pavilion! Weather Dependent. Free.

Smoke on the River BBQ Fest

September 3 – 5
Covington Plaza

Come enjoy delicious food and live music while looking at the beautiful views of the Ohio River! Friday, September 3rd: 5-11pm, Saturday, September 4th: 12-11pm, Sunday, September 5th: 12-9pm. Free Admission and continuous live entertainment! Free.

Labor Day Family Value Weekend at Youngs Dairy

September 3 – 6
Young’s Jersey Dairy

Take advantage of a special Family Value wristband good for all day, unlimited family fun at Young’s Jersey Dairy. Play Udders & Putters miniature golf, batting cages, driving range, Moovers & Shakers, Cowvin’s Fast Slide, Cowvin’s Kiddie Corral, Cowvin’s Corny Maze, and Wagon Ride on the Farm. Each wristband is good for all day fun on the date purchased. Cost is $16 (ages 12 & over) $10 (ages 11 & under). Wristbands can be purchased at Cowvin’s Corny Bin.

Alter Fest!

Alter Family Fun Fest is an Alter Booster sponsored fundraiser for Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering, Ohio. Rides and games for Kids, Blackjack and Texas Hold’em, Big 6 and Instant Bingo for adults. Entertainment all weekend long!

Ohio Renaissance Festival Opening Weekend

Forget your cares and step back in time to this 30-acre re-created 16th Century English village and enjoy over 400 years of fun in a single day! Over 150 costumed characters welcome you to the village! Rub elbows with Royalty as you cheer your favorite knight to victory in the thrilling Full-armored Tournament Joust. Welcoming you to a festive day in the village are dueling swordsmen, rowdy pirates, nobles, peasants, and daring jugglers.

Lunken Airport Days

Airport Open House featuring dozens of aircraft on display, rides available in historic military aircraft, helicopter rides, classic car displays, military vehicles on display, educational exhibits, food vendors, and a patriotic flag ceremony at Noon each day. Free.

CAM Kids Day Online

This is a virtual event with free online access. Enjoy online activities that are specially designed for families to take a deeper look at our art and make connections with the world around them. This Month’s Theme: Hidden Treasures! This theme is inspired by our special exhibition, Paintings, Politics and the Monuments Men. Just like the Monuments Men discovered priceless works of art hidden in a salt mine, we’re going to explore other types of hidden treasures with fun, do-at-home projects, storytimes, scavenger hunts and more! Free.

Paws in the Park

Join them for a fun-filled day all about your four-legged friends! Stop by Simmonds Family Dog Park to learn about local pet services and businesses. Come meet Cincinnati’s most adoptable (and adorable!) dogs that are looking for their furever homes. Free.

Western & Southern / WEBN Fireworks

Sunday, September 5 | 12:00pm
Sawyer Point Park/Yeatman’s Cove

An all-day affair with music, food and family fun and entertainment all day. On both sides of the river, nearly a half-million people view the choreographed Rozzi’s Fireworks show while listening to the soundtrack on WEBN (102.7 FM) starting just after 9 p.m. and lasting for about 30 minutes. Hosted by the cities of Newport, Cincinnati, Covington and Bellevue. The show will also broadcast on WKRC Local 12.

Cincinnati Hispanic Fest
