Artful Gathering, newly opened in New Richmond, has restored a gorgeous old church and brought life back into the space with art classes for children and adults! Classes vary but for 4-13 year olds, Mini Makers and Colorful World weekly classes encourage creativity and fun with friends.
Mini Makers Art Class, ages 4-8
For ages 4-8, this art class is an immersion and exploration of fun art supplies and a love of children’s books! Hands-on learning through art projects and process art, this class is a weekly class but drop-ins are welcome! Taught by homeschool mom, Naomi Mize. (Formerly called “Artful Storytime”) Let us handle the mess! We love art messes! Parents are welcome to stay in the sitting area or drop off their child after signing in.
Colorful World Art Class, ages 8-13
This art class is a weekly class designed to explore lots of materials (media) from paint to printmaking to collage! Each week will build on the week before but we do accept drop-ins. Taught by art teacher/owner Jessica Blankenship. This class is held in the loft classroom of The Artful Gathering. (FYI: no wheelchair access) An art show display will be announced.
Artful Gathering is now ACE certified, use your funds to explore creativity and imagination! The Ohio Afterschool Child Enrichment (ACE) Educational Savings Account program provides qualifying families with a $1,000 credit per child. These funds can be used to pay for a variety of educational activities designed to help accelerate learning for children impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
