11 Top Events Weekend Round Up | March 24-26

Southwest Ohio is busy, busy this weekend and we’ve rounded up our 11 top events! There’s tons to do including a few brand new exhibits to check out like Bricktionary and Butterflies of the Meadow at Krohn Conservatory. Knock over some bowling pins with a football at Fowling Warehouse or relax with a calming art class at Artful Gathering.

Beethoven’s Fifth | Friday 11a

Music Hall: Out of silence, Beethoven’s Fifth depicts an unrelenting struggle and ultimately, triumphant glory. Listen as Russian conductor Anna Rakitina leads works by two composers: Beethoven and Ayres.

Evening Art Camp Adventure | Friday 5:30p

Artful Gathering: 6-12 year old artists will get to draw nocturnal animals and make a painting of the Northern Lights on a unique wooden canvas! Popcorn snack provided!

Spring Madness Craft Show | Saturday 10a-4p

EnterTRAINment Junction: Start your spring off right by visiting the Spring Madness Craft Show located in our Expo Center and main street area for one of our top events. This is fun for the whole family with free admission to the show! Also make sure to stop by Junction Cafe and pickup a “Dollar Dogs” or featured cocktails!

Butterflies of the Meadow Opening Day | Saturday 10a

Krohn Conservatory: Presenting Butterflies of the Meadow! Wander through the showroom to experience our very own meadow surrounded by butterflies in flight. Admire monarchs and blue morphos as they soar through wildflowers and over a flowing waterfall. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to see what it’s like for butterflies in the wild and to learn why we must protect their habitats. Visit with your family and friends from March 25 – June 18, everyday 10a-8p.

Storytime at Happen, Inc | Saturday 10a-4p

Happen, Inc: Local author and PR Pro Julie Whitney will be reading her rhyming picture book, Astra The Lonely Airplane at Happen, Inc. This storytime is free and open to the public. Reservations are required, and may be made online here. The book is appropriate for children Pre K-Grade 3. Everyone attending will receive a free, laminated Astra bookmark making this one of our top events!

Lollipops Family Concert: Sherlock Holmes | Saturday 10:30a

Music Hall: When the orchestra is ready to begin their concert and suddenly discover the Maestro is nowhere to be found they begin to panic. Thankfully the world’s greatest detective is available and agrees to take the case. All the musicians are suspects and thus Sherlock Holmes must investigate each of the instrument families to deduce who is behind this mystery. This fun, silly adventure is one of our top events for kids this weekend!

Five Rivers Woodland Adventure | Saturday 4-5p 

Englewood MetroPark: Get out in the crisp, fresh air for an adventurous nature hike through a successional woodland, exploring the trees, plants, and wildlife. For ages 3-13, weather dependent.

Fowling Warehouse Family Day | Sunday 12-8p

Fowling Warehouse: Sunday is family day at Fowling Warehouse when kids are invited in to fowl with their families! For $14, drop in for open play or get all the cousins together and reserve your very own lane for a full two hours for $140!

Hoppy Spring Family Art | Sunday 2-4p 

Pinot’s Palette West Chester: A sweet, fluffy bunny with pastel tie-dye colors behind will get you ready to celebrate Easter & springtime! Sunday is family day, ages 4+ welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult; you know your child best, their abilities, and their attention span.

Science Sunday: Sand | Sunday 2-3p

Great Parks Nature Summit: Do you know where sand comes from? Learn all about how sand is formed, what kind of animals live in sand habitats, and what makes sand so unique. We will also have hands-on crafts and experiments using sand!

Bricktionary | Friday-Sunday 10a-5p
