More than 5,000 jack-o-lanterns will shine this fall in Kentucky.

Louisville’s Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is back for an eighth year as a drive-thru event, running Oct. 1 through Nov. 1.

The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular began in Oxford, MA back in 1988. The Louisville event features 5,000 illuminated pumpkins and more than 100 pumpkins carved into glorious works of art.

This fall, due to COVID-19, the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is being held as a drive-thru.

The event is happening at Louisville’s Iroquois Park — the entrance is 4800 New Cut Road at the intersection of New Cut and Southern Parkway.

The 2020 Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular runs Oct. 1-Nov. 1 from dusk to 11 pm during the week (Sunday-Thursday), and closes at midnight on Friday and Saturday.

This drive-thru event happens rain or shine.

Tickets are $35/carload (including cars, vans and SUVs) and $50/passenger vans and limos.

Tickets can be purchased online at jackolanternlouisville.com. This event will sell out, so be sure to purchase tickets online to secure your date! (While tickets can be purchased at the gate, this will be a cashless event.) Proceeds from the Jack O’Lantern Spectacular directly supports the Louisville Parks Foundation, Louisville’s network of over 100 parks and community centers.

The most spectacular Halloween event in the country is a short drive from Cincinnati — what are you waiting for?
