It’s a unique, “organic art show” produced by ‘Passion for Pumpkins’ based in Oxford, Massachusetts. In 2023, the Jack O’Lantern Spectacular in Louisville opened on Tuesday, October 3rd, and runs until Tuesday, October 31st. The trail will become accessible at dusk, opening from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm from Sunday to Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, the operating hours span from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm.
When does the trail open each night?
The trail starts when it’s dark enough for a great experience. Although the first entry time is scheduled at 6:30 pm, actual commencement may vary from 6:50 pm to 7:30 pm, depending on the day’s weather and daylight conditions. This slight delay is to ensure that the luminosity of the jack-o’lanterns can be appreciated against the backdrop of a dark starlit sky.

How long is the Jack O’Lantern trail?
The whole trail from entry to exit is about a mile long. It’s a short 1/3 mile walk from the Iroquois Park Amphitheater entrance to the start of the Jack O’Lantern trail. The trail loop is another 1/3 mile. Most people take around 35 to 45 minutes to walk the entire trail.
