When does the trail open each night?
The trail starts when it’s dark enough for a great experience. Although the first entry time is scheduled at 6:30 pm, actual commencement may vary from 6:50 pm to 7:30 pm, depending on the day’s weather and daylight conditions. This slight delay is to ensure that the luminosity of the jack-o’lanterns can be appreciated against the backdrop of a dark starlit sky.

How long is the Jack O’Lantern trail?
The whole trail from entry to exit is about a mile long. It’s a short 1/3 mile walk from the Iroquois Park Amphitheater entrance to the start of the Jack O’Lantern trail. The trail loop is another 1/3 mile. Most people take around 35 to 45 minutes to walk the entire trail.
