Tucked into an adorable neighborhood in Beavercreek is Shoup Park, a 4.7 acre space for kids to run and play! With plenty of parking in a lot and on the street, the bright green and yellow jungle gym will have kids sprinting out of the car, off to an afternoon of imaginative play.
Shoup Park is located at 1341 Meadowbridge Drive in Beavercreek, open dawn to dusk.
Climbers
Shoup Park has a huge variety of climbers spread out on the play space with all ages in mind– toddlers and big kids alike love jumping around from climber to climber to climber. Younger kids have plenty of opportunities to avoid their older (more rambunctious) siblings in safer spaces dedicated to our youngest.
However– there’s absolutely no shortage of fun for the “big” kids in our life! Two large multi-level climbers with ropes, slides, swings, rock wall, and shaded features brings all the fun including the spider net- a taller than life rope structure for extra high climbing!
Zip Line and Sand Play
Most playgrounds come equipped with a zip line these days including Shoup Park. Kids get to choose what side they blast off from while holding on tight to the rope line. Just a few feet off the group, the zip line is fun for preschoolers all the way up to parents (go on, give it a try!).
Plan ahead and bring a shovel and pail! The sandpit at Shoup Park is spacious with fun concrete turtles that kids can dig and climb around.
The Famous Slide-in-the-Hill
When describing this park, most locals mention the metal slide built into the hill at Shoup Park. There’s nothing extraordinary about this slide but perhaps the memories of your own childhood sliding down the Shoup hillside. Regardless, sometimes nothing beats a race down an old metal slide, even as an adult! The metal slide was recently updated in 2021.
If you’re out exploring playgrounds in Beavercreek, just a short 5 minute drive down the road is Owen’s Place Playground where imaginations run wild. Both parks have a shaded pavilion with picnic tables so grab some friends and make it an afternoon exploring Beavercreek’s epic playgrounds and parks!
