A favorite of both locals and visitors, ice skating, and now bumper cars, on the Fountain Square Ice Rink have become a family-friendly tradition in the heart of downtown Cincinnati each winter! Opening November 4th- President’s Day, the ice rink provides open skate, split ice events, bumper cars, and skating lessons!
Session Types and cost:
- Open Skate is $10 and includes admission and skate rental Payable by cash or credit card (Visa/MasterCard/AmEx).
- Split Ice Events are $6 for admission and skate rental. These events include skate lessons and bumper car hours, and are noted on our calendar as split ice skate. Skaters will have access to 1/2 the rink during this time.
- Bumper car passes sold separately at $10 a punch card. Must be 5 years old to operate bumper cars. No Lap Riders.
- Skate lessons are Mondays, 11/6-12/4. Pre-registrations is required. More information coming soon.
- Children under the age of 4 are free with paid adult admission and must be accompanied on the ice at all times.
- Bumper car punch cards are available for $10 and are valid for 5 rides each. These cards are sold on-site and valid all season. Bumper cars operate on limited hours, times change seasonally, see below for a full list of hours.
Children under 55 inches must be accompanied by an adult while on the ice. Admission and skate rental close one hour before the rink closes. Times are subject to change due to weather or special events.
The UC Health Ice Rink, presented by Fifth Third Bank is an outdoor ice arena that takes over Fountain Square from November 4 through President’s Day. Rink amenities include 600 pairs of rental skates, the WGU Ohio Warming Tent, a full-service concessions tent with hot and cold snacks, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, on-site parking, and restrooms. The rink is open to skaters of all ages. The rink operates seven days a week with Pre-Holiday, Holiday, and Post-Holiday hours listed below. NO RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.

- Mon, Tues, Wed: 4p to 8p
- Thurs & Fri: 12p to 10p
- Sat: 10a to 10p (10a to 3p split ice with bumper cars operating)

Holiday Season Hours Dec 15 – Jan 1
- Open Skate: 10a to 10p, 7 days a week
Post Season: Jan 2 – Feb 19 (hours subject to change)
