The purple picturesque Amish built barn was handcrafted in mortise and tenon construction, held completely together with hickory pegs. The craftsman in your family will be delighted at every nook and cranny inside the 2017 barn as it is a true work of art. With a large, beautiful space indoors for activities and a porch full of white rocking chairs, a day at Sunset Ridge Lavender Farm will calm your soul.
This U-Pick activity is great for children but not so great for little ones who may fear bees. The pollinators are very busy, buzzing from bush to bush to increase crop and make delicious honey. Remind your kiddos, bumblebees rarely sting and honeybees only if they feel threatened. It is a great lesson in working cohesively with one of nature’s most important, valued workers.

For a full day of family adventuring, a short 7 minute drive takes you straight to Young’s Dairy or 8 minutes into Yellow Springs for hiking at beautiful Glen Helen or shopping at Asanda Imports and the Little Fairy Garden.
