The Kinder Garden Schools Begin 2016-2017 Enrollment in January

Starting January 4, 2016, The Kinder Garden School and KGS Academy will open its enrollment for the 2016-2017 school year. There will be information nights about the current kindergarten, first, second and third grade programs and the new fourth grade program on January 7 and January 11 from 4pm-6pm. These nights will give parents information about The Kinder Garden School and the unique school age curricula offered by the school. The Kinder Garden School in West Chester attained a Charter through the Ohio Department of Education for grades K-2 in 2010 and, at the request of the parents, successfully added a third and fourth grades since. The kindergarten program offered by KGS is a full-day program. The first grade curriculum bridges the gap between the surrounding school district grade cut-off. The second, third and fourth grade programs are exciting new options that the families have requested be included as the school continues to grow.

The Kinder Garden School keeps their classroom ratios at 15:2 versus public schools who must maintain ratios of 25:1. This intimate classroom structure allows for more individualized attention for students. Trudi Simpson, the principal of the school, says, “A child’s early learning experience is a time for them to embrace the idea that learning is fun and something they should enjoy doing as well as prepare them for future educational experiences.” Simpson adds, “The continuity offered by adding a first grade to our curriculum has proven to be priceless in securing our students’ self esteem and competency so when they move on to elementary school they are academically prepared. This gives them the chance to focus on social issues,” says Simpson. “This also reinforces a true community of learners which addresses each child’s individual needs by providing a differentiated curriculum that spans four grades”. The addition this year of a fourth grade class is a testament to the quality curriculum that The Kinder Garden School provides.Kinder Garden Schools

The Kinder Garden School offers below state ratios and teaches children ages 6 weeks through school-aged.
