While we all love a good swim at our community pool, nothing beats the fun of a Southwest Ohio splash park. Part water park, part playground, these summer spots are a big hit with kids. And, since many are free (or just a few dollars), these playgrounds are sure to be a big hit with parents, too!

Cincinnati Recreation Commission

All CRC spraygrounds are free except McKie, Oakley and Pleasant Ridge, which require a pool membership during regular pool hours. Spraygrounds are open 7 days a week, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

All three of these splash parks are free; however, you’ll pay a few dollars for parking. Open through Labor Day.

Cincinnati Community Splash Pads

Beech Acres Park
This playground is like no other playground in the park district, with a stimulating layout that encourages both active and imaginative play. The most important aspect of the playground’s design is its level of accessibility. Each section features play opportunities for children of varying physical abilities. It’s open 10 am – 8 pm from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

Clippard Park
The sprayground at Clippard Park features a variety of motion activated features for all to enjoy plus a nice shaded picnic table for those who prefer to stay dry. Open 11 am to 7 pm from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.

Covington Water Park/Splash Pad
The Water Park/Splash Pad is great for young children. Part of the Bill Cappel Youth Sports Complex, this facility is located at 43rd Street and Decoursey Avenue. Open seven days a week from 12 to 6 pm, June 10 through August 6. Daily admission is free for Covington resident when you register for a free pool pass

Home of the Brave Park
The spray ground is adjacent to the park’s impressive playground, and operates 12 am to 5 pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Julifs Park
This splash park in Anderson is adjacent to the eponymous playground. It’s open 10 am – 8 pm from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

Ziegler Park
Ziegler Park in OTR has a FREE sprayground at the center of the park that’s a fun way to cool off after the kids have played at the dry playground.

Great Parks Splash Parks

Sharon Woods
As the oldest park in the Great Parks system, Sharon Woods has a rich history of providing great recreational opportunities like fishing, boating, golfing, hiking and a generational splash stream!

Woodland Mound
The visitor center at the park features wildlife exhibits and a gift shop. Breezy Point Pavilion is home to Parky’s Wetland Adventure playground and snack bar (which offers children’s celebration packages), a regular playground and picnic areas. Woodland Mound also has an 18-hole disc golf course and boat launch ramp to the Ohio River. Open through September 4, $6.50 per child.

Winton Woods
Winton Woods is an impressive urban park with boat rentals, a splash pad, playgrounds, fishing, camping, hiking and home to Parky’s Farm! Open through September 4, $6.50 per child.
