By definition, a mother is a female parent. But the word “mother” means so much more. It means love, protector, teacher, hugger, dryer of tears, activities director, cook — moms are everything! This Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 13th) give mom the gift of relaxation with a gift card or schedule a signature treatment from The Woodhouse Day Spa. Moms deserve the world, but an hour or two of R&R is perfect!
The Woodhouse Day Spa is located at the corner of Montgomery and Cooper Roads in beautiful downtown Montgomery. I recently enjoyed a morning there; and this relaxing day spa was the perfect place to become centered and leave the world’s noise outside.
You’re welcomed into The Woodhouse Day Spa by their friendly staff, and immediately treated like the queen you are! Once checked-in for your treatment, you are given a locker to secure your personal items and changed into a comfortable robe and slippers. Complimentary beverages are offered as you relax in the quiet room (please no use of a cell phones). I was receiving the Discovery Facial and also filled out a questionnaire on my skincare while waiting for my esthetician.
Before I describe my facial, I must recommend Ranee Dewiel! She was so professional, and made me feel extremely comfortable. I can sometimes have sensitive skin, and I really am not a fan of massages. But she took her time to listen to my concerns, and gave me the greatest skincare advice. Plus, I was so relaxed that my neck and shoulder massages were fabulous and greatly needed (a little stressed).
This was my first time at The Woodhouse Day Spa, and I took the advice that the Discovery Facial would be the perfect first facial treatment. This 50-minute signature service included a 30-minute facial and a 20-minute detailed skin assessment. Ranee focused on my skin-care wellness and performed an in-depth analysis while I had this introductory facial to help me achieve my goals of healthy, younger looking and vibrant skin.
After the facial, I was so relaxed and my facial skin felt smoother and looked brighter. Ranee also recommended a once-a-week scrub to help reduce product build-up on my face, and I found some adorable bunny bath bombs for mini-me’s Easter basket. Again, the staff were incredibly helpful even as I left. Five stars for service!
So this Mother’s Day, treat your mother to The Woodhouse Day Spa (Hint, Hint to my husband and daughter). Their amazing staff will help you find the treatment best for you whether a facial, massage or any other of their signature services – and she deserves it!
