Top 5 Reasons to Attend Dayton Parent’s Summer Camp Fair

Summer break will be here before we know it – and while we all love quality time with our kids, summer “break” isn’t always a vacation for parents. Enter: summer camps. With overnight, half- and full-day options, camps featuring every sport and hobby around and options for preschoolers to high schoolers, you can literally find the perfect camp for your kids.

But with so many stellar summer camps out there, it can be a bit overwhelming picking the right one! Which is why we’ve organized our Summer Camp Fair. Our fourth annual Camp Fair happens March 7 from 1-3:30 pm at Town & Country Shopping Center, and is a must for Dayton Parents!

Here are our Top 5 reasons to attend Dayton Parent’s Camp Fair sponsored by Dayton Children’s Hospital, The Little Gym of Dayton, Mayflower Arts Center and Kroc Center:

1. It’s FREE

Admission and parking are free; kids’ activities are free — this event is totally free to attend! Think of it as summer camp window shopping — you can look around and gather information while your kids enjoy lots of free activities.

2. We’ve done the research for you

Skip the endless google searches and online research. At Summer Camp Fair, you can wander from booth to booth and talk face-to-face with local businesses and organizations about their upcoming programs and camps that they will be offering over the summer months. You can gather flyers, have your questions answered and really get a sense of what to expect from each of the camps.

3. Plan a whole summer of fun — in one afternoon

What parent doesn’t like to get things crossed off their endless To-Do List? At Camp Fair, you can literally sign your kids up and get your summer break in order. (You won’t be hearing any “I’m bored” complaints from your kids this year!) This year’s lineup includes:

4. Join our Cover Kid Search

We are always looking for local kiddos to feature on our magazine cover! At our event we will have the perfect summer camp photo backdrop sponsored by CampIN Dayton. Bring your kids, let us snap their photo and you may just receive a call that your child will be featured on an upcoming Dayton Parent Magazine cover.

5. Meet and mingle with your fellow Dayton Parents

Bring a group of your friends and sign your kids up for the same camps (then you can carpool!). Meet other parents whose kids have similar interests. Let your kids make friends as they play. Summer Camp Fair is a great way to feel like part of the larger Dayton Parent community — we’re all in this together, after all!
