Visit 4 Beavercreek Parks on this September Bicycle Tour

YES! Dayton is finally starting to cool down. The weather is gorgeous and what’s a better way to enjoy it than spending time outside on your bicycle? If you’re looking to get some great exercise in with the kids while having fun, then I challenge you to try out this mini biking adventure in Beavercreek, while exploring four local parks.

If you don’t live in the area, don’t worry! Here’s a great route for a fun bicycling journey that leads you back to your original location. So, load up those bicycles and enjoy Ohio’s beautiful weather while it lasts!

Bicycle Routes and Travel Time

You can start at any of these parks and continue the loop, but it’s recommended to start your adventure at Stafford Park and continue down the list. If you do it this way, it gives you two super short bike rides at the end to decompress, and a bathroom break before returning to your original park!

Stafford Park | 3636 Crab Orchard Ave Beavercreek OH 45430

Start your journey at Stafford Park and choose from the ample amount of neighborhood parking to unload your bikes. This is a quaint, small playground complete with a slide, gazebo, picnic tables, and it also has a Little Free Library if you want to share a book with the little ones.

Dominick Lofino Park | 640 Grange Hall Rd Beavercreek OH 45430

From Stafford Park head over to Dominick Lofino Park. It will take you 8 minutes on the bicycle, and is relatively flat to make for an easy ride. This park is fully equipped and definitely has a larger crowd. If you have older kids they might enjoy doing tricks at the attached skate park, while you and the little ones take a potty break and grab a drink out of the vending machine.

Fox Run Park | 3358 Southfield Dr Beavercreek OH 45434

When you’ve watched your kiddo try every one of the 5 slides Dominick Lofino Park has to offer, head over to Fox Run Park. This will be the longest stretch on the bicycle clocking it at just 14 minutes- but I promise, it’s so worth it! My 5 year old daughter and I were pleasantly surprised to find an entire corn field here! Along with the adorable fall photo opportunities in the corn stalks, we encountered a bug exhibit complete with a hand made “Bug Hotel”. We had to search on the internet for what exactly that is, and needless to say my daughter is now insisting that we make one of our own.

Merrick Park | 3179 Creekside Dr Dayton OH 45434

Your last gem to discover is Merrick Park, and let me tell you- if you’re into the outdoors then this one is for you. After just a 6 minute bike ride from Fox Run Park you will be delighted to find this cute little hole in the woods to connect you back to nature. You’ll most certainly enjoy sitting on the picturesque wooden bridge while listening to the quiet babbling brook as your family takes in the scenery. And if meditating to the sounds of nature isn’t your thing- not to worry, there’s a playscape too.

Luckily from here it’s only 7 minutes back to Stafford Park. So give yourself a pat on the back for getting out there and exploring what the Dayton/Beavercreek area has to offer- I know we did!

Total biking time: 35 mins
