There’s something special about that first sunny Saturday of the season—when the kids are finally out of their coats, the air smells like fresh herbs and flowers, and your weekend plan includes picking out juicy strawberries and artisan cheese.
If this sounds like your kind of vibe, then mark your calendar: the 2nd Street Market’s outdoor farmers market kicks off Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.—and it’s sticking around through late October!
Located at 600 E. Second Street in downtown Dayton, the 2nd Street Market is a family favorite, and for good reason. The outdoor season adds 30+ fresh-air vendors to the already bustling indoor scene of more than 50 local makers, bakers, and growers. It’s the perfect spot to teach kids about where their food comes from—while also getting some seriously good snacks.

Know Before You Go:
Outdoor market hours: Saturdays from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Rain or shine! Severe weather is the only thing that might pause the fun—check their Facebook page for updates.
Indoor market hours: Fridays from 11 a.m.–3 p.m., plus regular weekend hours.
