What activities are offered at School of Rock Beavercreek?
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors.
Rookies Camp: [June 16 – 20]
In this half day music camp, 5 to 7 year old beginners will learn about different rock instruments and begin their introduction to music theory and appreciation.
Rock 101 Camps: [June 2 – 6, July 7 – 11, or July 21 – 25]
Want to play in a band on stage? Our Rock 101 music camps are designed for beginners 7-12 years old. No experience necessary! Students will explore their instruments through musical games and activities. Our nurturing environment makes this the perfect camp for budding musicians. Students will work on songs Monday through Friday and the camp will culminate in a concert at the end of the week for family and friends.
Performance Camps: [June 9 – 13, June 23 – 27, or July 14 – 18]
Featuring music from 80s Rock, Taylor Swift, or 21st Century Rock. Monday through Friday will be spent learning and practicing songs, all culminating in a live performance. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction. Campers must be able to play through a song on their instrument to attend.
What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?
We aim for lots of hands on help and average a ratio of 1:6.
How much time do the campers spend outside?
Most time is spent inside our facility learning and playing music.
Does the camp provide lunch/snacks or do parents need to provide them?
Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, and water.
What is the typical daily schedule for campers?
Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities
How old are the counselors and how are they trained?
All of our camps are led by our talented music instructors who are adults from various educational and professional backgrounds.
Does the camper need previous musical experience?
Our Rookies Camp (5 – 7 years) and Rock 101 Camps (7 – 12 years) are designed for beginning musicians. No experience needed!
