What activities are offered at Camp Countryside?

Every camper will have the opportunity to participate in traditional camp activities like, swimming, team building games and races, dodgeball, gaga ball, boardgames, and more. Then depending on what camp your camper chooses they will have 3 hours of instruction time learning a new skill like sewing, cooking, pickleball, football, volleyball, golf, rock climbing, gymnastics, cheer, basketball, or archery.

What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?

During camp hours we follow ACA Staff/Camper Ratio ODJFS Staff/Camper Ratios:

1:6 – 4 to 6 years old
1:8 – 6 to 8 years old
1:10 – 9 to 14 years old
1:12 – 15 years old

For before or after camp care we follow ODJFS Staff/Camper Ratios:

1:6 – 4 to 6 years old
1:18 – 6 to 15 years old

How much time do the campers spend outside?

At Camp Countryside we have the best of both worlds with outdoor and indoor swimming pools, gymnasiums, and more! And depending on what camp your camper chooses, determines how much time is spent outside. For example, our arts campers spend most of their day indoors. Our specialty sports camps, as well as gymnastics, ninja warrior, and cheer spend the first half of their day inside the YMCA focusing on their specific skill and enjoy general camp activities like swimming outside in the afternoon. Our other core camps and some of our high adventure camps spend most of their time outside or in one of our camp shelters located outside in over 40 acres of woods, fields, and outdoor activities in the heart of Lebanon.
