Hiking and Harbor

The Great Parks is a treasure to all Cincinnatians. The park district displays collaborative art from Art Works and Charley Harper throughout the walking trails and pavilions of Winton Woods. Great Parks has curated many fun trail hunts for your next adventure, we recommend the Great Oaks Trail Hunt.

Winton Woods is home to a large harbor with many daily rental options. Paddle-boards, pedal boats, motor boats, row boats, mini pontoons, kayaks and bikes will bring out the aquatic explorer in you. Boathouse hours vary depending on peak and off season; click here for hours and rental prices.

The snack bar and playground are just steps away from Winton Woods’ boathouse, to recharge after a few hours on the lake. Cheeseburgers, icees, ice cream, beer and snacks are available during open hours 11a-7p through August 13.

Parky’s Farm

After your morning campfire, take a short drive over to Parky’s Farm where most activities are free. The outdoor barn area houses many different farm animals like alpaca, goats, bunnies, horses and sheep. Although you cannot feed the animals, they’re available for viewing dawn to dusk. A walk through the gorgeous blooming gardens will surely burn off some energy as the kiddos explore growing sunflowers, pumpkins, pollinator plants and vegetables.
