NAMIWalks Southwest Ohio (SWOH) is celebrating its 20th anniversary on May 13th, 2023, at Sawyer Point Park in Cincinnati. This annual event aims to raise awareness and funds for mental health support, education, and advocacy, which NAMI provides through their many programs and services.
NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is a leading organization for individuals and families affected by mental illness. NAMIWalks Southwest Ohio provides an opportunity for individuals and teams to support NAMI’s vital services by raising funds for their services. These services include support groups and educational classes for individuals and families affected by mental illness, as well as advocacy efforts to improve access to mental health care and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health conditions, and a HelpLine to connect with additional local resources.
The free event is open to people of all ages and abilities and features music, resources, and a myriad of fun activities. Participants can register at namiwalks.org/swoh and fundraise to support services in Hamilton, Clermont, Warren and Clinton Counties, with the goal of improving mental health outcomes in the community.
