What makes Cincinnati Christian Schools unique?

We understand that each student is uniquely and wonderfully made, from the precocious preschooler to the discerning senior. We strive to serve all levels of learners. We have the rigor for students who need to be challenged and we have support for students who need extra help as well.

At Cincinnati Christian Schools, faith and learning go hand in hand. We’ve developed a unique and proven educational model that infuses outstanding academic preparation with a Christ-centered, biblical outlook and approach.

What is your enrollment policy? Are there any key dates parents should be aware of?

We want to partner with Christian families, so the parents must be believers. Also, we have an application process that all students and families must go through before being enrolled.
What are the standard school day hours? Does your school offer flexible day/hour options?

Is before/after school care available?

At the elementary and preschool, the hours are 8:15 am – 3:15 pm and at the JH/SH Campus our hours are 8:00 am – 2:55 pm. We have before school care available at no charge starting at 7:30 am. We also have after school care available at both campuses billed monthly at an hourly rate.

How many children are in each class? How are children divided up up?

Our average class size is 16.

What is the teacher/child ratio?

16:1

What are the teacher’s credentials?

All teachers are licensed through the Ohio Department of Education and have a teaching license. Teachers also are licensed through ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International).

Is parental participation required?

We ask for families to volunteer 20 hours during the school year.

How do teachers communicate with parents? How often do parents receive updates?

Teachers communicate with parents via email and also through newsletters. Parents can also use our online learning management system to be kept up to date daily.

Does your school offer support for students with special needs?

Yes, we have an intervention program for both our Elementary and Junior/Senior High Campuses.

How much time do the children spend outside?

At the elementary campus, students have 2 recess times throughout the day. Each lasting 15 minutes.

Are meals and/or snacks provided?

CCS provides hot lunches for parents to purchase and students must bring their own snacks.

Does my child need to be potty-trained?

Yes, students need to be potty-trained.

What enrichment programs/activities are offered?

We offer music, art, computer lab, Spanish, physical education, a gifted program and a weekly Chapel. We also offer athletic programs starting in early elementary through 12th grade.
