Are you looking for a family friendly alternative to haunted houses? The Cincinnati Parks’ Magic Forest Halloween Hikes are the perfect, not-too-spooky solution!
Your family will walk through a pumpkin-lit trail and meet costumed characters from nature and history. Along the trail, you’ll see 100 jack-o-lanterns and meet costumed nature characters such as an Owl, Mother Nature, Bat and others! Children will delight in the stories and engaging performances at this family friendly event that’s best-suited for children ages 3-10.
Your family will love hiking through the gorgeous Caldwell Nature Preserve on October 21 and 22. Hikes start at 7 p.m. with the last hike leaving at 8:30 p.m., and each hike lasts approximately 1 hour. Hikes are organized into groups by type: scouts, youth groups, families with young children and families with older children.
Cost is $6 per person and kids under 3 are free. Reservations required; register online at the Cincinnati Parks website. Check back on our site later this week for a special giveaway! We’ll be giving away a family 4-pack of tickets to the Halloween Hike on Oct. 21.
