2022 Dayton Easter Egg Hunt Guide

We’re excited spring is (almost) here and it is already time to think about where the best egg hunts are! We’ve kept up on all Easter fun again this year in the Dayton area. We will continue to update this list as we hear about more Easter Egg Hunts in the Dayton area.

2022 Dayton Easter Egg Hunts Guide:

Extreme Egg Hunt

Where: Caesar Ford Park
Date: April 1, 7:30 – 10:00 pm

Easter egg hunts aren’t just for kids anymore! This egg hunt is AMPED up and sure to be a wild time! Can you find Easter eggs in the dark? If you can, you could win prizes! Participants must have a flashlight to participate (household flashlights only, no garage style.) Ages 18 and up only.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Greene

Where: The Greene
Date: April 2, 10 am

Join us at The Greene for an Easter Egg Hunt in center court! Children of all ages welcome!
Saturday, April 2nd | 10:00am. Hunt for a golden egg and win a special prize, meet the Easter Bunny, get your face painted, and more! The Easter Bunny will be here from 10:00-10:45. Sunrise Breakfast Food Truck will be on site, serving up delicious breakfast and coffee as well! Immediately following the Easter Egg Hunt, our Easter photo studio will be open from 11:00am – 8:00pm.

Tiny Tikes Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Vandalia Recreation Center Special Events Room
Date: April 2, 10 am-Noon

Hop on out to this early Easter program! Your child will make Easter crafts and will participate in a mini Easter Egg Hunt outside the Vandalia Recreation Center!

Adult Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Kettering Recreation Complex
Date: April 8, 8-9:15 pm

Join us as we shake things up a bit and bring you a hunt for adults only! Bring your flashlights because we will be hunting in the dark for eggs that may redeem BIG prizes! Eggs contain candy, coupons, raffle tickets used to bid on our amazing gift baskets (worth between $50-200!), and tickets that correspond to gift cards donated from a variety of local vendors. We will have music, grab bags for each participant and a photo op with the bunny himself!

Sweet Arrow Easter Egg Hunt – Adults Only!

Where: Sweet Arrow Reserve
Date: April 8, 7-9 pm

Why should kids have all the fun!? This egg hunt is for the adults out there that are young at heart. The Easter Bunny will be hiding eggs on the wooded and prairie trails at Sweet Arrow Reserve for you to find. The bunny is sneaky, so don’t expect the eggs to be hidden out in the open, you will have to use your flashlight and keen eye sight to find these eggs. If you are lucky enough to find an egg you will be going home with a cool prize. Spaces are limited, so hop to it and register today! Pre-registration is required by 4/4.

Adult Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Vandalia Recreation Center
Date: April 8, 8 pm

Time for the adults to relive their childhood egg hunt! Eggs will contain candy, raffle tickets and gift cards and after the egg hunt is over, everyone will meet back in the VRC Gymnasium to count eggs and begin the raffle. Participants will meet in the VRC Gymnasium no later than 7:40pm to check in. The egg hunt will start promptly at 8:00pm. Please bring a flashlight to this event.

Underwater Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Vandalia Recreation Center
Date: April 9, 10 am

Egg hunters welcome! Come on out and search for eggs and turn in eggs for candy and prizes! You will be able to stay and enjoy open swim after hunts are complete. Participants must be able to swim and/or must be accompanied by an adult.

DTCP Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Tipp City Public Library
Date: April 9, 10 am – 1 pm

Free photos with the Easter Bunny at the Tipp City Public Library as well as an egg hunt for the whole family around downtown Tipp City.

Flashlight Egg Hunt

Where: Enrichment Center
Date: April 9, 7-8 pm

Come join us for an outdoor egg hunt – in the dark! Check in at the Enrichment Center for a quick craft as we prepare for nightfall. Then, we search for eggs in the dark! Keep an eye out for the golden egg for a chance to win some special prizes. Don’t forget to bring your basket and flashlight. Every person attending must register and pay. Registration ends April 4, or when full.

Night Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Sackett Wright Park
Date: April 9, 8-9:30 pm

Join us for a fun and egg-citing night at our 6th Annual Night Easter Egg Hunt! Grab a partner and “catch” the fun that spring weather brings, by participating in a real egg “egg toss”. We will then get down to business locating plastic eggs in the dark of night from that sneaky Bunny! Prizes are awarded to winners in each age group and egg toss champions.

Easter Bunny Express


Where: LM & M Railroads
Date: April 9, 10, 15, 16, 17

Hop aboard the LM&M Railroad’s Easter Bunny Express! Enjoy a train ride with the Easter Bunny, followed by a train stop to participate in an Easter egg hunt.

Easter Egg Splash

Where: Miami County YMCA
Date: April 10, 2- 3pm

Join us April 10 for our annual Easter egg splash event for children ages 6 and under! Parent/guardian supervision in the pool is required. Meet the Easter bunny first in the gym and play some games before taking a splash for eggs in our small pool for prizes! This event is FREE to members and $5 for community members. Preregistration is required.

Annual Vandalia Community Egg Hunt

Where: Vandalia Recreation Center
Date: April 16, 11 am

Come on out and join us for an egg hunt with the City of Vandalia! This is a FREE community event so no registration needed. The egg hunt will start promptly at 11:00am so please make sure you arrive beforehand. There will be different age group areas at the event so all kids will not be in the same area at once. Please bring your own basket to this event.

The Egg Drop

Where: Be Hope Church (Beavercreek Campus)
Date: April 16, 12 pm – 1 pm

Hey kids & families! Look up in the sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane . . . . no, it’s the Easter Bunny in a helicopter!! That’s right! This year’s Egg Drop at Be Hope Church – Beavercreek will have thousands of candy-filled eggs dropped from a helicopter to kick off the egg hunt. Everyone is invited for all the fun on Saturday, April 16, from 12 – 2pm. At the event, grab some lunch at Kona Ice and Cloudy Days food trucks, jump in the inflatables, see the adorable animals at the petting zoo, enjoy face painting and snag lots of candy! The first 250 kids will receive a Be Hope Kids bucket in which they can collect their eggs!

Easter Egg Hunt Youngs Dairy

Where: Young’s Jersey Dairy
Date: April 17, 2 pm

As is our tradition, we will hard boil and dye over 7,000 eggs for our Easter Egg Hunt. This event starts promptly at 2 PM for children ages 4 and under. At 2:20 PM we do it again for ages 5 to 7. At 2:40 PM we have the final hunt for ages 8 to 10.
