Over 235 years ago, Major Benjamin Stites and a boat load of 26 brave pioneers landed on the banks of the Little Miami River within a short distance of where the cemetery is. This area was named Columbia and later was annexed by Cincinnati. Join us for a free tour of one of the oldest cemeteries in Hamilton County and learn about the founding members of Columbia. If time allows, we hope to visit the neighboring Fulton Cemetery which includes the final resting place of William Brown, first recipient of the Purple Heart.
