Headquartered in Cincinnati, American Heritage Girls is focused on developing young girls with integrity through service to God, family, community and country for almost 30 years. With thousands of troops all over the country, the program begins at age 5 and continues through age 18. 
Young girls will learn outdoor skills through camping trips, hiking, and specific age appropriate activities at each meeting. They learn etiquette skills through events such as mother/daughter tea parties and participate in many yearly community service events such as Operation Christmas Child, baking treats for first responders, organizing canned food drives or any other needs that come available locally. There are plenty of events for girls to just be themselves and make friends, such as pajama parties (always supervised by thoroughly background-checked troop leaders) and movie nights.
Program Activities
At American Heritage Girls, troops learn how to cook, bake and other life skills like properly using tools. Troop meetings emphasize a love of country and the girls learn about different key figures in American history that inspire them to make a difference in their sphere of influence, regardless of age. They will have the opportunity to earn badges for their hard work and move up to a new level as they complete the different level requirements. Levels include: Pathfinder (5-6), Tenderheart (6-9), Explorer (9-12), Pioneer (12-14) and Patriot (14-18).
