Having lived in Cincinnati for most of my life, I have friends scattered all over our city. While we are located in Northern Kentucky, I enjoy meeting up with friends in parts of town that aren’t as familiar. Recently, we headed north to a place that can only be called a destination – Liberty Center in West Chester.
Those of you who do live up north are so lucky to have this place! Not only are there a variety of stores to visit and restaurants to try, but there are many family-friendly events as well. The main attraction is the Discovery Center, located inside the main section on the second floor. The day we were there, the 
discovery center was bustling with kids and it was a great place for us adults to catch up while the little ones played in a safe, mostly closed-in environment. The space definitely encourages creativity and discovery (hence, the name) and I’d say it’s fun and engaging for babies through early elementary age.
The Discovery Center also hosts a story time on Fridays at 11:30 a.m. A librarian visits and reads a variety of books. On Sundays, families can participate in Family Yoga, located on level one. During the summer, kids can splash in the fountains and throughout the year, Liberty Center holds a variety of events for all ages. And our favorite part about Liberty Center? The train display! Located in the park, the miniature train display was a big hit with my kids – and may have been used as an incentive for good shopping behavior.
I always enjoy places that allow for productivity (such as running errands), while still being kid-friendly. Liberty Center is a great asset to those living north of the city, but it’s really a great destination for all Cincinnatians.
