Pumpkin Glow and Fall Fun with Greene County Parks

Caesar Ford Park in Xenia transforms into a black-light wonder during Pumpkin Glow this October! Families are invited to walk the free show including those with young children– there’s no spooky hidden surprises anywhere to be found.

Greene County Park’s Pumpkin Glow is held October 26- 28, 2023 from 6:00- 9:00p!

Greene County Parks give a whole new meaning to GLOW with the annual Pumpkin Glow! No traditional, candlelit pumpkins here…just hand-painted pumpkins in black light-reflective paint!

The trails of Caesar Ford Park will be lined with hundreds of hand-painted pumpkins covering everything from cartoons to music to horror shows, animals, and more. Once illuminated with the black light, the pumpkin comes to life! Come out and see how many of these masterpieces you know.

Black light flashlights are available for loan, attendees are encouraged to bring their own.

A food vendor will be onsite cooking up festive holiday treats and Halloween music will fill the air at this unique seasonal event. For more information call (937) 562-6440.

Greene County Parks Fall Events

The Great Pumpkin Patch | October 11 at 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Hundreds of pumpkins will be hid along the trails at the Russ Nature Reserve and your child, age 2-9, will have to search and find pumpkins that match images on the cards we provide. Each child will be given a card with 10 different objects to find, painted on the pumpkins. Once they find them, cross them off and keep looking. When all 10 are found, return to the tent for some fun money that is good to spend at our candy store and in our pumpkin patch (1 candy bag and pumpkin purchase per registered child). Children are encouraged to come in costume!

Greene Grasshoppers – Halloween Party | October 17 at 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

These once-a-month programs are designed to get kids, ages 6-9, out into the parks having fun while doing so. These are drop-in programs; parents are required to remain with the child/children.

Wiggle Worms: Halloween Bash | October 19 at 10:00 am-12pm
