The City Flea is Cincinnati’s original curated, urban flea market that takes place once a month at Washington Park and various other locations throughout the year. Since its conception in 2011, The Flea has seen dozens of vendors grow from hobbyists to full time business owners.
The City Flea 2023 season kicks off on Saturday, May 13 from 10a-4p!
The City Flea considers themselves not only a monthly market, but a small business incubator, community organization, and city advocate. The Flea is a place to keep your dollars local, support small business and experience your city in a unique and engaging way.
City Flea History
The City Flea is the project of a couple from Cincinnati, passionate about the city landscape who have lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Brooklyn where they found a lot of inspiration for the Flea. The market sprouted in 2011 after its creators moved back to the Queen City and saw first hand that the city was teeming with creativity, energy, and people who were excited about selling, shopping, and staying local.
On June 4th, 2011 the flea sprang into action and the first 45 vendors ‘delivered the goods’ leaving people hungry for more. About 70 vendors sold over the course of the first summer season and now in the 13th season of operation, the Flea has hosted hundreds, unique vendors and small businesses, and see’s thousands of shoppers each market.
Bring your friends, bring a few bucks, and most importantly, just bring it.
City Flea Kids Market
The Kids Market is on August 12, 2023 from 10a-2p at Washington Park in conjunction with the regularly scheduled August market.
The City Flea is excited to be able to give local kids a venue to showcase their wares, feel empowered, and for them to get an idea of what it’s like to own and run a small business.
The application will open in June! Cost will be $40 and vendors are responsible for providing tents, tables, chairs, etc.
