It’s March … which means it’s time for the kids to start asking about spring break plans every 18 minutes. Fortunately, there are plenty of spring break answers right around the corner at French Lick Resort.
You’ll be surprised how many family-friendly attractions there are in and around the resort — and how much you can squeeze into even just a short 3-day getaway. Since spring means it’s time to get outdoors, start your visit with a horseback or pony ride at the stables. You’ll also want to take aim on the sporting clays and archery ranges, pack a picnic lunch and log some miles on the wooded hiking trails, pedal around on a surrey cart, and hit the pickleball courts. Oh, and pack the golf clubs because kids 12 and younger play for free, and ages 13-17 play for half price when playing alongside mom and dad at the resort’s courses.
What trip would be complete without time at the pool? The resort’s heated outdoor pools are already open. And don’t worry on those rainy days, because you can always enjoy the indoor pools or the bowling alley, arcade and pizzeria. Plus, there’s so much space to roam and see the sights at French Lick Springs Hotel and West Baden Springs Hotel, the two spacious hotels on property. If it coincides with the timing of your visit, be sure to hit up Mommy & Me Tea (March 16), Cookies & Canvas (March 21 & April 6) or the Silly Safari Animals show (March 23).
Beyond the resort, there are also a world of adventures in town or within a short drive: including an indoor water park, train rides, go-karts, mini golf, escape room, caves, and animal encounters at Wilstem Wildlife Park.
