Bohemian Funk at RiverScape MetroPark

Thursday, July 21 | 7-9p

Come down to RiverScape for a night of “Rock N Soul” featuring one of Dayton’s own original rock bands, Bohemian Funk! With insane vocals, dynamic energy and top-level musicianship, Bohemian Funk will bring an unforgettable experience to their debut on the RiverScape stage. So pull up your chair for music, food, and rocking out by the Great Miami River! Weather Dependent, all ages.

Herb Garden in a Basket

Stop by the outside farmer’s market at 2nd Street and meet Betty Hoevel. She can show you how to plant an herb garden in a basket or flowers in a bag. Bring your questions!

Treat your kids to a late night and explore creatures that lurk in darkness. We will hike through a variety of habitats in search of coyotes, raccoons, owls, and other animals. Flashlights welcome. Weather Dependent, ages 3-13.

Bees Buzz for Us at Wegerzyn MetroPark

Our world would be very different without bees! We’ll share stories that uncover the important work they do, discover how we might be more like bees than we think, and why they are our friends in the garden and beyond. Weather Dependent. Ages 3-7, $5.

Youth Mountain Biking Camp at Huffman

Wednesday, July 27 | 1-5p

This hands-on program will introduce skills for riding singletrack mountain bike trails. Topics covered include trail etiquette, braking, shifting, and bike handling. Bicycles and helmets are required and can be provided. Weather Dependent, ages 9-16.

Leaves are perfect study materials for preschoolers; they learn colors, shapes, and relative sizes, while developing a close relationship with the season. Bring your preschooler out for a hike to collect nature’s retired food makers! Weather Dependent, ages 3-5.

Garden Helpers at Wegerzyn MetroPark

Thursday, July 28 | 2-3:30p

Grow your green thumb skills. Children can drop in during the program time with their caregiver. We’ll explore different tasks each session, depending on what the garden needs. Make fun discoveries about soil, plants, pollinators and more. Weather Dependent.

Nature has come up with many ways to protect itself from predators. Join us in exploring some of these unique defenses. Weather Dependent. Ages 3-13.

Native Bat Exploration at Germantown

Saturday, July 30 | 8p-10p

Join us as we explore our often misunderstood native bat species and then search for some in the park. We will also be preparing for bat researchers that will be banding bats in the park in August. Weather Dependent, ages 10-17 $3.
