What makes Camp Curiosity at Rockwern Academy unique?
Our camp is unique because of the low ratio and experienced counselors/teachers. Rockwern Academy’s focus on child development is drawn from our philosophy of learning through play. We believe that learning should be fun!
What activities are offered at Camp Curiosity at Rockwern Academy?
Each week is guided by a unique theme based on the song “Here Comes The Sun.” Campers will enjoy water play, art projects, STEAM activities, music, storytime, and many more activities.
What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?
We have a low ratio of about 4.5 campers per counselor.
How much time do the campers spend outside?
As much as possible, weather permitting. We have a fully enclosed, brand new playground designed especially for young children.
Does the camp provide lunch/snacks or do parents need to provide them?
Parents provide lunch and snack.
What is the typical daily schedule for campers?
The day is made up of the following elements: outdoor play, art projects, naptime or quiet time, lunchtime, snacktime, storytime, singing and dancing, free play, and more.
How old are the counselors and how are they trained?
The counselors are the trained teachers from Rockwern Academy. They must be at least 18 years old and pass a full background check. Most of our counselors have many years of experience with young children.
What are the current COVID protocols?
Camp will be in person this summer operating with the same safety measures that helped to keep school safe and open during the year.
