Forest Run MetroPark in Ross Township consists of 342 acres with three activity areas including a variety of natural landscapes and habitats. The Timberman Ridge Enhancement project will provide a new flush restroom facility and playground at the Timberman Road entrance.
The playground at Forest Run’s Timberman Road is officially open everyday from 8a to dusk!
The multi-level climber has been suggested to be better for older kids ages 4+. However, the playground does include a smaller side for toddlers to slide, swing and climb. The entire playground sits on artificial turf, safe and convenient for kids of all ages.

Forest Run is also home to an 82 acre wildlife preserve with another playground! The scenic preserve includes a playground, restrooms, a water fountain, creek, woods, a prairie, meadows, and a wetland, all of which provide diverse habitat for the variety of area wildlife found there. A raised observation deck affords visitors a view of the prairie while trails run through the woods and meadows and along the wetland.
The Butler County MetroParks are made up of 14 parks; seven of which include some type of recreational play area.
