Franklin Community Park just received a major upgrade with the official opening of its brand new playground! The playground is excellent for older children as it has many levels of climbing ropes, saddles and a huge speedy fast slide.

Climbers
This playground is EPIC for climbers! The entire thing is pretty much one big ropes course with braided ropes all over. Kids who love to climb high will be thrilled with the gigantic geometrical twists and turns of the tallest climber.
Playset
The multi-level playset is an absolute blast and definitely a modern take on playgrounds. The center of the playset is a tall, partially shaded climbing ropes course that stems out to several smaller sections with slides and a rocker.
Although mostly for big kids, there is a toddler area with music for little ones to climb, slide and swing safely. Both traditional baby/kid swings and handicap swings will blast kids as high as they can imagine. Around the playset, kids can play a cute scavenger hunt to find animals like an owl, monkey, and turtle on the playset poles.
Handicap-accessible Turf
To be considered handicap-accessible, playgrounds must have no obstruction from the parking lot to the play equipment. The playground is sensory-friendly with astroturf all over- there is not one speck of mulch at Franklin Community Park!

Franklin Pool
The Pool located in Community Park is a joint venture between the City and Franklin Township. The pool typically is open every day from Memorial Day to Labor Day, except in cases of inclement weather. Season passes for individuals and families are available at special rates for City and Township residents. Daily admission is also available at the gate. The pool can be rented after hours for pool parties, and the shelter at the pool is available for rental during pool hours.
