We love an epic playground with all the bells & whistles and that is exactly what Symmes Township Park near Loveland has. Spinners galore, climbing nets, sand pit, zip line, walking trails, a pond, basketball courts and shelters for rent.
Symmes Township Park is home to TWO separate playgrounds!
The newer playground is definitely the eye-catcher as it is just a few years old and still looking brand new! The orange, blue and purple playground is full of spinning toys and the perfect place to play floor is lava. You can go from one side to the other without touching the ground!
For younger children, there are wobbly stands, a bouncy bridge and smaller slides to climb and explore. Bring along your sand bucket and shovels, the zipline is over a huge sandpit with plenty of space for digging.
Visually, this playground is wonderful to keep an eye on your child at all times. There’s no blind spots; even the rock wall is see-through! With plenty of climbing, jumping, spinning and zip lining, the nearby picnic tables and shelter come in handy for a quick snack. Bonus: nice restrooms are steps away!
On the other side of the park, there is a second playground that sits on a mulch bed with woods surrounding. Nearby is the walking trail, permanent concrete cornhole and large rock shelter for rent. Take the trail from the new playground, around the pond, to the second playground and through the forest back to the pond.
The pet-friendly park has water bowls, poop-bags and trash cans at random. There are multiple restroom facilities, a small amphitheater/stage and basketball court. The best part? During the day, there’s no crowd at all- a true hidden gem!
