The Ultimate Guide to Dayton Splash Parks {2025}

While we all love a good swim at our community pool, nothing beats the fun of a splash park. Part water park, part playground, these summer spots are a big hit with kids. And, since many are free (or just a few dollars), these playgrounds are sure to be a big hit with parents, too!

City of Dayton Parks

These spray parks are free and open to the public from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year, operating from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Each splash pad offers plenty of fun ways to cool down, including water cannons, dumping buckets, water slides and more.

Dayton Community Spraygrounds

Centennial Park
Open Memorial Day though Labor Day, a free splash park is located in this 65 acre recreational park.

Centerville Activity Center Park Sprayground
The spraground is open 9:30 am to 8:30 pm, seven days a week, the Friday of Memorial Day weekend through early September.

Interactive Fountains at The Greene Town Square
Although sometimes turned off for special events in the Square, these interactive fountains are a great place to cool off after walking around The Greene Town Center.

Island MetroPark
Events, picnics, play and water, Island MetroPark is its own urban oasis. Island MetroPark is a wet playground and has a great general water spray area.

J.F. Kennedy Park
Farm Themed Playground & splash pad, three ball fields, one soccer/football field, four tennis courts, and a playground.

Kacie Jane Park Splash Pad & Playground
This 3,000sf splash pad is open from Memorial Day to September/October (weather permitting). Close to the splash pad there are an additional two playgrounds and an interactive playground.

Orchardly Park & Splash Pad
Orchardly Park is located in the southeast section of the city. The park includes an interactive splash pad, a playground for small children, a full basketball court, two tennis courts and pickleball courts.

RiverScape MetroPark Interactive Fountains
Children can enjoy water play in the interactive fountains located in Festival Plaza. These seasonal fountains often include choreographed jets!

Thomas A. Cloud Park Splash Pad
Open 7 days a week from 11 am to 8 pm, this free, rainbow colored splash pad is sure to brighten anyones day.
