Get ready for another season full of family fun at the Taft Museum of Art’s FREE Family Fundays! Join the museum for one Sunday or all of them—each includes a special day at the museum full of themed play, art-making, music, and more for your young creators to fall in love with.
First up, explore the Taft’s newest exhibition, African Modernism in America. Join us on Sunday, February 11 to discover more than 60 dynamic and vivid works of art created in Africa during the 1950s and ‘60s. Kids of all ages can enjoy making art inspired by the exhibition and enjoy African drumming and dance workshops led by Bi-Okoto.
Then, celebrate the warmer spring weather on Sunday, April 21. This special day celebrates the museum’s new children’s board book, Hide-and-Seek Animals. Join the author, Assistant Curator Angela Fuller, for story time and introduce your family to art from around the world with colorful artworks from the museum’s collection. Plus, there will be a petting zoo, a springtime exhibition–A Breath of Fresh Air: Nature Inspires Rarely Seen Works from the Taft Collection–and more!
Museum admission for Family Fundays are always free and no registration is required.
