A #SummerInCincy favorite has returned: Shakespeare in the Park is back this summer!
Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s Shakespeare in the Park is the perfect way to introduce your kids to The Bard. Shows generally start at 7 pm, and take place at some of Cincinnati’s most picturesque outdoor locations.
Did you know Cincinnati has one of the largest free outdoor Shakespeare programs in the nation? Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is one of our city’s best gems. This year, Shakespeare in the Park boasts a playbill of the classics: Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
In addition to offering free shows at a variety of outdoor venues, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is mixing it up with drive-in experiences at Cincinnati Museum Center, live-streams a la social media and even radio-show style performances, so you can enjoy Shakespeare from the safety of home. Check their website for a full directory of shows.
As we continue summer of COVID-19, Shakespeare in the Park is a fun and safe way for Cincinnati families to enjoy a little outdoor entertainment. With Shakespeare in the Park, you bring chairs, blankets and a picnic, and get to take in a world-class Shakespeare show – for free.
